Matytalk programmes are designed in accordance with the European CEFR standard, which corresponds to the Cambridge English YLE Starters, Movers and Flyers tests. During the trial class, the teacher will determine the correct level for them. As your child moves on with their studies, their teacher will continue to monitor their progress through regular reviews and assessments.
Matytalk programmes are based on the CEFR framework and consist of 4 main levels, as well as a special programme for pre-school students and two advanced speaking-intensive courses (Time2Talk and Virtual Explorer). Each level consists of 10-14 units and each unit has 4 classes on one topic, with defined grammar, vocabulary and speaking practice elements per unit.
All classes are taught 1:1, meaning that students really get to know their regular teachers. Teachers monitor, manage and reward students' progress with achievements and certificates. Additionally, teachers can assign extra grammar, speaking and reading practice classes based on each child’s specific needs.
Lessons last for 25 minutes. There is enough time to cover the material adequately, but not so much time that students get bored or over-tired. Studies confirm that in 1:1 classes the workload is much greater than in group settings, meaning that 25 minutes really is the perfect length of class time.
Our teachers will get along with your child, test their current level of English and inspire them to learn the language!
